If you haven’t tried a ratchet cutting pruner yet, you’re in for a treat. The Florian® patented Ratchet-Cut® mechanism works like an hydraulic automobile jack which generates its power through short, easy strokes. This allows you to easily cut through branches up to ¾" thick, with less than one fifth of the effort required with conventional pruners. Gardeners with arthritis, carpal tunnel or diminished hand strength will be able to prune much longer and perform better cutting with the aid of the ratcheting action. The people at Florian® created the first ratchet pruner on the market and it is still considered by many to be ahead of the pack. The pruner is lightweight yet durable with a high carbon spring steel blade that is Teflon® coated to resist residue buildup. The handles are fiberglass-reinforced nylon.
